Got Gold!

So finally after long wait of years since inception of Olympics, India got a gold medal in individual event as Abhinav Bindra topped the tally of 10 meter air rifle competition. Frankly, I was expecting a lot from this guy but after seeing the performances of the 'key' shooters I was about to lose hope from Indian shooting squad, but finally the hard work paid and he did it!

First congratulation goes to Abhinav himself and also like to thank his family for spending a good sum on his preparation without any expectation from IOA (Indian Olympic Association) as Mr. Kalmadi has nothing more than average mic skills and political influence.

Abhinav belongs to a millionaire business family, and they have spent about 10 Karor rupees (source: different news papers). It just left me with one question that do deserving athletes need to belong to some multi millionaire family in order to get world class training?... anyways, once again thanks to Abhinav for brining pride to home country and congratulations on your success.

Stairway to heaven

These pictures are from my Cumberland Island trip back in Spring '08. This island was a world in itself as it has all extremes in an island itself... be it a great maritime forest with a lot of wild animals or the most beautiful seashores I have ever seen in my life...

That Unknown Girl...

It’s a very interesting story that I have never ever shared with anyone before, probably I just forgot about it. I was in 9th standard and the bug of trekking was boggling my mind after first successful national track at Dobi near Kullu (H.P.). But, didn't got any luck to go for another long track that time. So, finally I have decided to go for some local track and explore places near Indore. My first track was simple one, but I meet this wonderful girl on my second track to 'Hathari Khoh'. I didn't remember her name now (and really sad about that), but she was a friend of one of my friend who went to Kullu track with me.

Being the youngest gang in the whole team, we all were having a great time there and finally we reached at the lowest point of our track where we had a water fall and also decided to have lunch. We really had a great time under the fall and after lunch we came out total wet to top. There we spent about an hour to walk down to the road to catch a bus to comeback to Indore, that was the time when I started chatting with this brown eyed girl. She had the true charismatic persona, we had a usual normal talk and decided to share phone numbers but as we were walking with group so we thought to exchange numbers in bus. The bus journey was simply wonderful, we were sitting next to each other on the last seat and cold air was touching both of us, and we were feeling very cold that time... but I could feel the warmth of her body close to me and so as she. I asked for her telephone number and she gave it to me orally, and just to show my so called smartness I told her that I can remember all numbers (and really I used to in those non mobile days), so she said that 'then you give me a call to give your phone number', and I nodded on that.

After some time, she suddenly started staring at me and I realized after some time and our eyes matched and got fixed at each other, I don't know what happened to me that time but I was feeling something unusual. Especially for a shy guy like me, it was a very different experience and I was not mature enough to name that experience. I am very sure that she was feeling the same, we were just staring at each other without a word for a long time and then distracted by others. Finally, her bus stop came and she left the bus... and I realized that totally forgot her number. I rushed to the window and shouted to give her number, but she gave me a smile shouted back that 'you have it'... but time was too small to explain that I really forgot her number.

That was probably, my very first unusual experience and lost in memory with time. Today, it suddenly popped up in my mind and I still need to figure out... WHY???

Let the darkness come over...

Sometimes we are surrounded by darkness and in most of the things are seems to go wrong or look like not on the place, that phase of life is called the dark phase. I believe most of us go through that phase in our life and may be some of us have more then one such phase.

But as I always say- every bad thing has some good in it, these dark phase makes us more strong and stubborn and as the result when we face such problems again in our life we have a more positive approach for them and we feel less uncomfortable to go through that problems and some people learn to fight with it and some people learn to live with it.

I have seen many time that we realize our strength when we are in the most adverse condition in our life, that's why people wisely say that let the worst come in our life and then only you will realize best in you!!!
